Biography
Lets go back to colorful cocktails, sunsets, flashing disco floors, a pink neon light and a giant disco ball, add a dash of nostalgia and you have a time machine called Miamii. Electric guitars riffing over synth built melodies, a scoop of crushed ice just to be cool and u have a perfect chorus from a feel good song that echos through time. One thing that has resonated in these boys minds throughout the years is the memory of the music that filtered every fiber of their being as kids, anthems that have set the platform for music nowadays. Lets face it if we didn’t have the classics of the 80’s where would we be today? This might seem strange and you might not be able to wrap your head around it at first but I’m sure you have found yourself tapping your feet to the likes of ‘Huey Lewis and The News’ thinking those were the days. That is what Miamii is about, they capture that feeling in their music, using elements of rock with a commercial edge to create a style that puts them in a league of their own.
Miamii create music that they love without giving in to what people think or say, ‘don’t be afraid to be yourself’, which is what they will tell you. They are a breath of fresh air in a scene awash with soundalikes and imitators. This band has hopped off any pre-conceived ‘bandwagon’ and have jumped into a speeding convertible. If you are not feeling the vibe don’t panic, the day you come across the fluorescent and infectious choruses of Miamii is the day you will realize what the fuss is all about. For now ask yourself this question, “The Bonnet Is Hot, Where Have You Been?”
